Sisters Cathy & Ciara Newell met Kelly Kilfeather at an open audition for an ABBA tribute band in their hometown of Sligo.
The girls hit it off immediately and decided to make their own music, abandoning all Super Trooper aspirations. They came to the attention of Mr X Factor, Louis Walsh, who has since acted as their Fairy Godfather.
Spin The Wheel is like aural candyfloss, sweet but insubstantial. The title track and Say Something Anyway are breezy, easy pop tunes, harmless enough but hardly exciting.
No doubt the girls are having more fun on this pop wagon, in preference to impersonating Agnetha and Frida, but as a cross between The Corrs and Wilson Phillips, Bellefire will find it difficult to make a lasting impression.
