YOUR article about the revised arrangements at Walmgate Bar included a photo of queuing traffic (November 2).
I could not help but notice that the pedal cyclists' "green box" area at the traffic lights was occupied by a very large 4x4 vehicle.
A pedal cyclist had then travelled to the front of the queue, expecting to find this area respected by motor vehicle drivers and available for his use. He ended up stopping in front of the 4x4.
There was little benefit for this arrogant motor vehicle driver. On restarting, he or she would merely have reached the back of the next traffic queue ahead a few seconds sooner.
