FORMER Brazil World Cup captain Socrates' debut for Garforth Town against Tadcaster Albion on November 20 is unlikely to last longer than 20 minutes.
Socrates, 50, has announced that he is not fit enough to play any longer and he might not take any part in the Northern Counties East League clash against Tadcaster, as it takes place on the day he arrives in England for the start of a ten-day holiday from Sao Paulo.
He has agreed to play in one match for Garforth but will not be with the club for a month as originally revealed by owner Simon Clifford.
Socrates now has back and ankle problems and smokes 20 cigarettes a day.
