An own goal in extra time gave Copmanthorpe a 3-2 win at home to New Earswick in the second round of York City and District FA Senior Cup.
The early attacking play came from Copmanthorpe and they took the lead after only seven minutes.
Following a sloppy back-pass, the ball eventually fell to Graeme Butcher, who gave New Earswick' 'keeper Phil Hart no chance.
Within three minutes New Earswick were back on level terms through a 35-yard free kick from Paul Stimpson.
Joe Carter missed a great chance for Copmanthorpe after being pushed through by Butcher, who should later have netted himself when one-on-one with the New Earswick 'keeper, who made a fine save.
In the second half a great header by Tom Heseltine crashed against the New Earswick bar and went away, with the Copmanthorpe 'keeper well beaten.
The pressure was still being applied by Copmanthorpe, but with 15 minutes remaining New Earswick took the lead when a cross from Charlie Holmes was headed into Copmanthorpe's goal by Drew Bradds, with Copmanthorpe's 'keeper floundering.
Substitute Mark Flood came on for Copmanthorpe and with five minutes of normal time remaining he latched onto a through-ball and shot past the advancing 'keeper to force the match into extra time.
It was the second period of extra time before the deadlock was finally broken, with an own goal off a New Earswick defender, giving Copmanthorpe a 3-2 victory.
Norwich Union scored a surprise 2-1 win over Malton Bacon Factory.
Matthew Hibbins put Norwich Union ahead, but the Bacon Factory hit the bar on four occasions in the first half without scoring.
In the second half, the Bacon Factory side hammered Norwich Union's defence, with goalkeeper Neil Mercer in outstanding form.
With seven minutes remaining Nick Henshaw increased Norwich Union's lead with a breakaway goal.
Nigel Allen pulled a goal back for the Bacon Factory but Norwich Union held on to win.
Bishopthorpe needed extra time to defeat Wigginton Grasshoppers 2-1, with Joe Gardham netting the extra-time winner. Bishopthorpe's other scorer was David Kettlewell.
Hat-tricks by Mark Woodward and Shaun Laverack helped Dringhouses to a 9-1 win over Rufforth United.
Huntington were in the driving seat against Wilberfoss, but the division one side put up a great performance. Huntington won 3-1, all their goals coming in the first half from ex-York City star Ian Dunn.
John Heads netted from the penalty spot for Wilberfoss with five minutes of the game remaining.
Kartiers progressed to the third round when two goals from Andrew Woodall and one each from brothers Neil and Richard Taylor gave them a 4-2 win over Dunnington, whose scorers were Mike Walker and Chris Burgess.
