I MUST pay tribute to the ambulance personnel at York Hospital. In recent years I have had occasion to call them out several times.
They are not only extremely efficient but also unfailingly courteous, gentle and with a delightful sense of humour. They have a special gift for dealing with great understanding with the elderly (of whom I am one).
I hate to think that they might on occasion receive abuse, but when they arrive home weary after an exceptionally heavy day, I hope they realise what a great appreciation their patients have of them.
