ONCE again, we must correct wildly inaccurate information being spread through the letters page about the proposed Derwenthorpe development.
This time, there is the extraordinary claim that only 65 of the new homes will be subsidised, affordable accommodation. In fact the figure is 190 and, if the project makes a surplus which we can plough back, we will hope to pass the 200 figure.
We welcome and encourage rigorous scrutiny of our proposals. But opponents simply undermine a reasoned public discussion when they base their objections on misinformation.
