THE Olympic Games may now be in the dim and distant past, but you can still get your dose of sport courtesy of Nissan.

Following on from the success of the limited edition Navara Rally Raid, Nissan will launch another special Double Cab this week, called the Navara Sport, costing £14,950 on the road, a hefty £1,340 less than the standard Double Cab.

Designed to get the heart rate racing faster than 30 minutes on the treadmill the Sport is loaded with desirable kit, including CD autochanger, rear privacy glass, front fog lamps and a rear step bumper. Only 400 will be available, and in just two colours, kuro black or blade silver.

Despite the addition of all these extras, the Sport actually costs less than the standard Navara on which it is based.

Like all Navaras the Sport is powered by a 2.5-litre, four cylinder diesel engine, with 133hp and torque of 304Nm.

It also has 3,000kg towing capacity.

Unlike some competitors, anti-lock brakes come as standard on this special edition, together with driver and passenger airbags.

One will also find improved on-road ride and handling thanks to the addition of wider tyres and firmer suspension settings to which all Navaras have recently been treated.

If you think money might be a hurdle Nissan can offer you a helping hand with an offer of nought per cent finance over two years with 30 per cent deposit or alternatively 3.9 per cent over three years with 30 per cent deposit.
