AFTER Poppleton's 2-0 home defeat to Heslington five teams are now separated by just one point at the top of division two.
Simon Gatenby opened the scoring for the visitors on the half hour mark and a Danny Walters penalty five minutes later was enough for Heslington.
Tockwith, having beaten Civil Service 2-1 in the cup earlier this season managed again to get the better of the same opponents this time winning 3-2. Phil Darley put Tockwith ahead but Matty Topham and a Matt Varley penalty turned it round for Civil Service.
In the final ten minutes Tockwith claimed the points with two goals - both headers - from Rob Wilson and Danny Clements.
Riccall managed not only their first goal of the season but also their first win as they comfortably beat Stillington 4-1. Grant Saker hit all four Riccall goals with Steve Johnstone netting for Stillington.
A Dave Aldridge goal was enough for Fulford to move out of the bottom three after they defeated Strensall 1-0.
Elvington's Luke Dove has now scored in the last four games but it was not enough to stop Barmby Moor winning their second game in as many weeks as they ran out 2-1winners. Phil Goddard scored both Barmby's goals.
