THORPE United relinquished second spot in the Leeper Hare York and District League premier division following their 3-2 home defeat to Selby rivals T& L.

Another own goal for T & L - that's three this season - put them in front, but Thorpe responded with goals from James Tweddie and Andrew Moore. T & L drew level from a Brendon Langhan penalty and Adam Durnin scored the winner.

Dringhouses recorded their second double of the season as they won 3-1 at Pocklington. The home side took the lead through Matt Hutchins but Lee Atkinson levelled for the league leaders before the break. The second half was all Dringhouses as they hit the upright twice before Mark Woodward, who has now scored in the last four games, converted a couple of chances to keep 'Houses on top of the league.

Huntington Rovers made it four straight wins after their 2-0 win at Old Malton.

In a physical match which saw several bookings Rovers took the lead when a Chris Dyson cross was volleyed home by Jack Wilson. The points were secured when Glen Banks' cross was met with a diving header by Craig McDonald.

Kartiers recorded their first win in five games beating bottom-placed Copmanthorpe 3-0 with all the goals - two from Andy Woodhall and an own goal - coming in the first half.

Wiggington Grasshoppers won at Bishopthorpe with James Vine scoring the only goal of the game.

Selby RSSC took an early lead at Stamford Bridge in division one but two goals from Nick Rank and one from his brother Jamie put the hosts 3-1 in front. The Selby side reduced the arrears but Andy Pope made it 4-2 18 minutes from time.

Tom Green put Crayke in charge against Wilberfoss but two goals in as many minutes denied them their first win of the season. John Heads equalised for 'Foss on 75 mins and a Dave Bails penalty kept Wilberfoss in third place.

Norwich Union are also still to bag a win but they are the only side to take points from Nestl Rowntree this season.

Roger Osbourne gave Union the lead after 15 minutess and they held on to this for over an hour before sub Steve Fratson equalised. The sides also drew 1-1 last week.

Undefeated York St John's confirmed the form book with a 5-1 win over lowly Post office. An Andrew Sherlock hat-trick did the early damage and other goals came from Chris Lees and an own goal. Mathew Woodcock hit Post Office's lone reply.

Easingwold's Eddie Myers cancelled out Rufforth's lead but a goal two minutes from time was enough to give Rufforth a 2-1 win.

New Earswick suffered their first defeat of the season going down to a David Hide goal at home to Hamilton Panthers.
