Selby RUFC moved up to fourth place in Yorkshire One with a 26-8 home win against Goole.
The result also meant that the Tommy Burton Trophy went to the Sandhill Lane club for the first time.
Andy Gabel's fifth minute try, converted from under the posts by Dan Porter, set Selby on their way.
When Goole were penalised for handling on the ground Porter's 37-metre kick made it 10-0.
Goole managed a spell of pressure and got on the scoresheet when full-back Rich Ruhmann, on the overlap, sped over but the conversion by his brother James hit the crossbar.
Selby responded when Shaun Austerfield and Gabel combined to release Porter, who kicked over the last man, gathered the ball and dived over. His own conversion attempt hit a post.
James Ruhmann reduced the arrears with a penalty when Selby were caught offside but Selby notched their third try on 25 minutes when Austerfield jinked round five defenders for a great solo effort after Matthew Smith had stolen the ball from a Goole set scrum.
Porter could not add on the extras but did boot a penalty to put Selby 23-8 up at half-time.
Another Porter penalty stretched Selby's lead shortly after the interval and that proved to be the end of the scoring as the game became scrappy.
Selby hooker Shane Sellers and Goole flanker Dan Moore were both yellow carded for fighting.
