NOT many mountains to climb in York. The steepest ascent facing Michael Palin yesterday involved the stairs at Waterstone's.
That is not to say his appearance fell flat. Quite the opposite. Hundreds of Michael's fans hit the heights of excitement when they came face-to-face with their hero.
And no wonder. This is no ordinary author. Who else can claim to be both the Dalai Lama's favourite comedian and the first Python to scale the Himalayas?
