AS Shoulder of Mutton Res were beaten 9-1 it wasn't a good day either for Shoulder of Mutton's first team in division one of the York and District Sunday Afternoon League, who went down 9-3 at Saville AVFC.
Meanwhile, after a poor start, Clifton FC are getting their form back with two wins in a row.
Manager Trevor Paxton has turned things around and they got the highest score of the day, a 17-2 rout over newly-promoted Cottage Inn FC.
AFC Huntington stayed top of the league by thrashing fourth placed Forest FC 5-0.
Hosts CB United were brought back down to earth after an 11-1 defeat by top-of-the-table Bay Horse United in division two.
CB United's topscorer Rich Mills missed a penalty by putting the ball over the bar, then Bay Horse outplayed their hosts with Terry Taylor notching five goals and Mark Pickard scoring to round off the first half 6-0.
In the second half, CB held on until the last 20 minutes when Lee Appleton scored a hat-trick, before the best goal of the game came from CB's young 17-year-old Dave Clayton.
Also on the scoresheet for Bay Horse United were Lee Fisher and Carl Barber.
Clifton Rangers earned three points by crushing Drum FC 4-2.
Shoulder of Mutton Res were hammered 9-1 by an improved Knavesmire FC.
First (York) Yearsley have their 44-year-old veteran Dave Ellis to thank for their narrow defeat of King's Head.
He earned himself the man of the match for the second week running when he denied victory for the hosts, who went down 4-3.
