A DRUG dealer put behind bars for nine years after running a York heroin den has successfully applied to have his sentence cut by almost a third.
Lee John Archer, 26, faced nine years in prison after admitting supplying heroin from his accomplice's home in Burton Green, Clifton.
But senior judges sitting at the Court of Appeal in London cut the term to six years and six months as they upheld his appeal over the severity of the sentence.
Archer was locked up in March after undercover police mounted a five-week surveillance operation on the property last year. Heroin worth almost £19,000 was found in the house as well as £10,000 in cash.
