York College has held a prospectus launch for people involved in providing careers advice for young people in and around the city.
Staff from Guidance Services, careers, personal advisors from Connexions, and heads of careers from York College feeder schools attended the event.
Information was also available about the college's plans to build a new state-of-the-art college on its Sim Balk Lane site, due to open in September 2007, and the £1 million refurbishment of the Tadcaster Road facilities during the building period.
Helen Ward and Lucy Ogram, schools and college liaison officers at York College, said: "The launch has given us an opportunity to introduce the new full-time prospectus for 16-19-year-olds, outlining its structure, usability and other important features."
Sue Cordell, head of careers at Millthorpe School, said: "We feel fully informed about the new prospectus and, more importantly, the plans for the college's new build programme." Anyone wanting a 2005/6 prospectus can call the college on 01904 770239.
