THE managing director of Persimmon's took Coun Steve Galloway to task over the history of planning in Huntington (Letters, October 15).
Perhaps he needs reminding that the land before the 1996 reorganisation of local government was in the Ryedale district, as were a number of sites they have since been involved in developing.
Perhaps before we all cry over their loss of development land, developers should remember that they have had quite a few years of profitable development from Clifton Hospital, Clifton Backies and other sites since then, and probably have options on land all around the green belt as well.
