Pocklington moved into the third round of the Powergen Vase with an impressive performance at home to Barnsley, running in seven tries to win 43-10.
Despite Barnsley being from a division lower, they looked a better-drilled side than some Yorkshire 2 teams that Pocklington have met this season.
However, Pocklington's ball retention was good throughout and they produced some excellent back moves, the first after ten minutes bringing the opening score with a try for centre Harry Allen which Kevin Bowling converted.
Barnsley hit back right away with a try from their first attack, but Pocklington again moved on to the offensive and their backs worked the blind side for right-wing Karl Hart to dive over.
There continued to be some good running rugby, but the home forwards got the next score when they muscled over for flanker Scott Littlefair to touch down, Bowling converting.
Pocklington moved out of sight in the first minute of the second half when full-back Sam Butcher plucked a Barnsley pass out of the air on half-way and raced under the posts on the interception for Bowling to convert. And the hosts rubbed it in with two more scores from close range through scrum-half Sam Rees and replacement flanker Paul Rhodes.
Barnsley came back to get a consolation score but Pocklington had the final word. A late raid brought the seventh home try for teenage three-quarter Nick Bennett, Bowling adding his fourth conversion.
