YORK athlete John Booth won the men's 50-59 age category in the 2004 Concept 2 British Rowathlon series and collected an entry to the European Indoor Rowing Championship.
The top men and women from each age category in the competition won free entry to the EIRC Championship in Amsterdam in December along with two night's accommodation and £100 towards their travel expenses.
Booth competed against more than 250 other athletes to collect his medal after completing the series.
Tadcaster's Nick Rockliff was second at the Cambridge Indoor Rowing Grand Prix in the men's 40-plus heavyweight category over 2,000 metres.
