THE BBC is looking for people to join its regional and local audience groups.
Each BBC region in England has groups that are made up of 12 people from their own editorial area, who watch BBC programmes and dip into BBC Local Radio as part of their day-to-day lives.
We look for honest opinions about programmes and about how well you think your area is represented on the BBC.
If you have an interest in your region and the BBC (particularly local programmes) and want to help make them better then do get in touch.
We are looking for a variety of people from all walks of life. And you don't have to be a champion of the BBC either - your honest views are what we look for.
The commitment is a voluntary one, but good fun. Travel expenses are paid. For more information and an application form, please telephone the freephone number: 08000 68 70 60. Alternatively, look at the website:

We'd really like to hear from you. For your information, the closing date for completed applications is Friday, October 29.
Keith Gilfillan,
Regional Advisory Council,
BBC North East & Cumbria,
