RUGBY league referees from Selby have hit the heights this week.
As reported by the Evening Press last week, Paul Stockman received the Neil Whittaker Memorial Trophy for being Match Official Achiever of the Year in the LHF Healthplan National League.
He was also the reserve official for the National League Three final at Widnes' Halton Stadium on Sunday, where fellow Selby referees' society member Ronnie Laughton, the National League Referee of the Year, took charge of the NL1 Grand Final between Leigh and Whitehaven.
In addition, Chris Dean was appointed to referee the Academy Under-18 Grand Final at The Jungle between Castleford and St Helens.
Life member David Milburn said: "The Selby Referees' Society is a small society and is very proud of the achievements of its members this year."
