Haxby United made it three wins out of three in Reserve 'B' after beating Nestl Rowntree 4-3 in a topsy-turvy game.
Haxby raced into a two-goal lead within nine minutes with a Paul Dyson header and a Mike Taylor goal, but Nestl pulled one back before the break through Lee McQuade. A goal apiece from Simon Dwyer and Wayne Scaife put Nestl into a 3-2 lead but midway through the second half an own goal and another strike from Dyson maintained Haxby's unbeaten start to the season.
Meanwhile, Haxby's nearest rivals Thorpe suffered a 6-0 trouncing away at Easingwold where Gary Raper (2), Mike Smith, Chris Hughes and Mick Raper all hit the target and Thorpe contributed to their downfall with an own goal.
