Selby hooker Shane Sellers crossed for an unconverted try in added-on-time to give Selby their first away win of the season and their first ever League victory over Bridlington, by 23 points to 18.
Selby started the game in confident mood with the Selby scrum having the upper hand, taking three scrums against the head.
Bridlington lost tight head prop Andy Smith to a yellow card for punching. and Selby took full advantage with their superior numbers, when the ball was spread to centre Andy Gabel who sprinted over for a try near the posts. Dan Porter obliged with the conversion.
Bridlington hit back with a penalty and an unconverted try.
Selby stand off Toby Pemberton was yellow carded for persistent complaining but his side kept Brid out.
Winger Simon Hall touched down in the corner in the first minute of first half stoppage time and an exchange of penalties in the next four minutes gave Selby a 15-11 advantage.
Bridlington mauled their tight head prop Mark Floyd over for a converted try to put them back in front.
But a Porter penalty closed the gap
Justice was done in the first minute of added-on-time at the end of the game when the ball was released to the backs from a ruck and maul to Selby hooker Sellers available on the massive overlap to take the ball and crash over for his first try of the season wide out.
