York entertain Hull tomorrow in their penultimate Yorkshire ECB County Premier Cricket League fixture.
The Humbersiders are second from bottom, so York will be hoping for the victory that will sustain their hopes of winning the league championship.
York bring in Mike Mortimer to augment their bowling resources as maximum options might be required if Hull are to be dismissed to ensure the full eight points.
However, York captain Marcus Wood will have his attention cast to the other side of the Humber, where last year's champions Cleethorpes entertain Sheffield Collegiate, who lead York by 11 points.
Any form of win for the South Yorkshire club will confer the title on them as, even though York visit Collegiate the following Saturday, the points gap will be unbridgeable and York will find themselves battling to hold off Harrogate and Doncaster from depriving them of the runners-up spot.
On Sunday, York entertain Doncaster in the League Cup and field the same eleven as bowling restrictions place an accent on greater bowling capacity.
