YORK security boss Paul Cody is nearly half the man he used to be after shedding an amazing ten stone.
The super-slimmer, who runs Britsafe Security, at Clifton Moor, has gone from a 46in waist to 34 inches and is now fit enough to take part in the forthcoming Great North Run.
Paul, 49, of Sutton-on-the-Forest, was inspired to shed the pounds after reaching 23 stone and being unable to squeeze into the largest trouser size at Marks & Spencer.
In eight months he has slimmed down to 13 stone, after ditching fatty takeaways for wholemeal pasta and undergoing a disciplined exercise regime.
"I knew I had to do something about my weight," Paul said.
"It came off really quickly once I got started. The Great North Run was a really good focal point."
Paul is competing in the half-marathon in aid of Martin House Children's Hospice and says he is "thrilled" that his employees havestumped up more than £2,000 in pledges.
Paul's wife, Sue, said: "He has done brilliantly. I wish I could do that!"
