Adam Lee scored 39 as Thorpe totalled 138, opening bowler Dobson taking 1-6 in his four overs. Michael Collinson, who took 4-17, then struck 43no after Dobson had been run out for 28 as Stockton cruised to a seven-wicket win.
Nine-man Wheldrake came close to upsetting Copmanthorpe after posting 144. Dave Cockerill top scored with 43, closely followed by 38 extras. Matthew Kellett took 5-61.
There were only four balls left when John Brook (46no) hit the winning runs for Copmanthorpe after Simon Carding took 5-35 for Wheldrake.
