SO Nigel Ingram and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation have been transformed into deities that can improve on nature by providing the wildlife of "Derwenthorpe" with a habitat superior to that which it now enjoys (Letters July 27).
Perhaps they can do the same for the residents surrounding the area whose habitat they are also seeking to destroy.
Maybe a move to the New Earswick nature reserve, the Homestead, or Grimston Park will ensure a tranquil future for everyone. I can assure Mr Ingram that, irrespective of what he proposes for the wildlife, the protests regarding this development will not go away until all the problems such as habitat, traffic, flooding etc have been resolved.
