Business Link York and North Yorkshire is a dynamic organisation providing advice and support to local businesses. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high calibre person to join our IT Team. IT Support Officer £20k per annum. The IT Team is responsible for the provision and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and for ensuring the most effective usage is made of Business Link's investment in ICT systems. We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Officer to assist in the management, maintenance and development of our IT infrastructure. This currently consists of a local area network (LAN) of approximately 90 users and wide area network (WAN) of 5 sites across York and North Yorkshire. In addition, you will also have key responsibilities in monitoring and developing the usage of Business Links client management system and reporting software. You will make a major contribution to the provision of an active helpdesk service to users of Business Links ICT systems across a wide range of types of requests from individual users. You will be a good communicator with internal consultancy skills and a clear commitment to customer care. You will have experience of the administration of a Windows2000 Server based network, with knowledge of Exchange and Oracle administration an advantage. Previous experience of Crystal Reports, or similar reporting tool, is desirable as is the knowledge of the principles of a Client Management System.
