FOR the second time you reported that City of York Council had sent 12,000 reminder letters to residents who had "failed to keep up their payments in the last 12 months."
I think you will find that a large percentage of these owed not one penny.
I believe that those who paid their April tax early, ie before the end of the financial year, received a letter claiming they still owed that amount. It is time the council came clean and admitted their error. I shall make sure next year that I do not pay my April tax in advance.
