NOT content with planning to close a public right of way, St Peter's School also blocked public pavements with A-boards to direct traffic going to their playing fields.
The same fields which York residents helped pay for with an interest-free loan of millions of pounds from City of York Council. This enabled the school to sell off other parts of their property to be overdeveloped to the detriment of the area.
Not satisfied with blockading Clifton with traffic in term time they rent it out at weekends and holidays generating yet more traffic and pollution.
The problems caused by the selfish behaviour of arrogant "road hog" parents, thoughtless jostling children and money-grabbing governors are then used as an excuse to close ancient public paths.
I remind St Peter's that the keys on their badge are for Heaven which is open to all, not just those who can afford it.
