Sewerby and Hemingbrough are neck and neck at the top of division two in Hunters the estate agent York and District Senior League, each side having 305 points following away wins.
Former leaders Stamford Bridge have slipped to third place after losing at home to Crayke.
At Mille Crux, Rowntree struggled as they found ex-Pudsey St Lawrence player Gurdev Singh a handful as he took 7-73. Paul Horner (31), Paul Brook (28) and Sean Marshall (32) saw Rowntree make 157.
Horner then followed with 3-57 and Richard Tuite took 3-31, but former Bilton man Imran Khan rattled 70no and Maqsood Akhbar 46 as Hemingbrough gained a three wicket win.
Stamford Bridge failed to match a modest Crayke score of 141-8 and were all out for 123. Pete Carr (53) and Graeme Dawson (25) made runs for Crayke. Mark Hutchinson then took 6-73 as Bridge were bowled out for 123.
At Hovingham, home batsman Richie Brown made 56no in a 133 total as Mick Kenyon, (5-48) and fellow spinner John Crowe (3-56) bowled Dringhouses into a strong position. Andy Kenyon (25) and Danny Snaith (40) saw the visitors to a five wicket win.
