THREE York graduates are enlisting the help of a London-based independent film company to make its first short film.
Emma Clover, Sheena Holliday and Adam Greenwood, who are all aged 21, are filming a 13-minute short story at locations around York in September.
They recently graduated from the department of Theatre, Film and Television at York St John College, and have just set up their own film company, Crestfallen Productions.
They were friends throughout university and worked together on a film called Like A Charm for their final student project.
Their new venture, which is called A Single Plaster, A Chicken Salad Sandwich And A Newspaper, is based on a true story which they found in the New York Times. Sheena and Adam wrote the script, and it was sent to experts at Coffee Films, in London.
The firm went on to advise them on the feasibility of the film, and has now also agreed to give the budding film makers help to create their production and distribute it to festivals.
Emma said: "We are quite nervous and excited.
"We haven't cast anyone yet, but we have started pre-production.
"We have no budget at all and would love help from people in the area."
