WITH regard to "Cash boost for air quality", (July 16), York city council could improve the Fishergate/Fawcett Street junction 100 per cent if it made the left-hand lane in Fawcett Street for Fulford traffic only (as it used to be).
Then remove the sign by the Bingo Hall and let traffic filter into the correct lane to go into York.
This would reduce traffic backing up into Fulford, and therefore reduce the pollution levels.
