I WOULD like to respond to Megi Rychlikova's article on a crackdown on abusing disabled parking spaces (July 16). Yes - absolutely - but what about our parent and child spaces too?
I even have the purple badge for parent/child spaces supplied by Tesco. Can I get a space? No.
If you look there are lots of people with no children. Sometimes they have a child seat in their car but, you've guessed it, no child, cheeky! So these spaces too are abused.
Have you tried getting your baby seat into the car in a normal parking space? It can be quite tight - we don't mean to knock the car at the side but sometimes I admit it is difficult - and what do we do?
So spare a thought for parent and child spaces too.
