ON Thursday June 17 my wife and I were returning from Manchester Airport to Selby on the Transpennine Express via Leeds.
Nearing our destination, I decided to move our luggage towards the wide exit; the teenage girl sitting opposite us said to me "Can I help you off with your luggage"? which we thought was a nice gesture. She proceeded to take the holdall and wait on the platform while I found a trolley.
She had said to my wife "Did you enjoy your holiday"? and asked where we had been. She told us she lived at Barlby and off she went.
If this obviously well-brought-up, kind young girl reads this and recognises this incident; if you have not told your parents, tell them now what a kind act you did for us oldies.
How proud they can be of you. Thank you again.
Mr and Mrs Hunt,
Willow Rise,
Thorpe Willoughby.
