LANGWITH Lakes continues to produce some superb match weights with Sunday's open on Kevins Lake going to Keith Harrison from Tang Hall Match Group with a superb net of small carp scaling 93lb 12oz.

Most of his fish were taken offering pellet tight to island at around 13 metres.

Vaughan Henderson headed an impressive supporting cast of weights with 66lb 10oz ahead of Steve Baraclough with 65lb 6oz and Tim Bell on 53lb 10oz

Bishopthorpe and Acaster Juniors continue to enjoy some great fishing down at the Bridge Field in the Friday evening series.

Twelve-year-old Kallum Cooper won last week's event with a lovely mixed net of 5lb 4oz. Fishing a small maggot feeder he netted perch, roach and skimmers to 15oz.

The junior all-day match at the Bridge Field will be held on Friday, July 30, when the trophies for the evening series will also be presented. The draw will take place on the riverbank at 9am.

The Saturday Bob-Co open at the Willows drew a field of 35. Alistair Wilkes (Tadcaster) won with a 56lb net of carp to 4lb on pole and pellet from peg 52.

Thirty-two anglers tackled the same Goldrush pool at the Willows complex on Tuesday evening with Sean Rogers (Willows) taking top weight with a nice net of 53lb 12oz of carp to 5lb on pole and paste fished shallow from peg 53.

Best of the rest were Tommy Rogers (Willows) 49-12-0, Gordon Fennell (Acomb Tackle) 46-4-0 and Ian Walker (Boston Spa) 44-0-0

Matches are now being held again on Cedar Lake at the Oaks after the recent fish-health scares. On Sunday, 40 fished with top weight going to John Kenning (Daylight Baits) with 71lb 14oz of carp to 2lb on pole and pellet to the island on peg 27.

Pegs on Kestrel dominated Saturday's 77-entry at Woodlands. Top-rod was Mark Calvert (MAP Elton) who had a cracking mixed net of carp, barbel, ide, skimmers and tench.

Alternating meat on the long pole and pellet close-in he put together a winning net of 68lb 14oz. Mal Bailey (MAP Elton) was on peg 13 on the same lake and fished meat both shallow and at depth for an all carp 67lb 8oz.

The Wednesday open drew 51 and went to Dean Smith (MAP Elton) from form peg 13 on Dragonfly. Fishing meat at 17 metres the York based commercial expert had a mixed net of 73lb 3oz.

Mark Coyne (MAP Elton) took second from Mallard 8 with a meat tempted carp bag of 71lb 9oz
