Paul Hanagan, who returns to action today after spending three weeks sidelined with suspension, can take the honours at Catterick tomorrow.

It is a measure of Hanagan's talent and reputation that no sooner has he returned than his services have been secured for a whole host of fancied mounts, and he could well notch more than one winner tomorrow.

Mount Ephram will be his partner in the Halifax Selling Stakes and Roger Fisher's two-year-old, a winner two outings ago over this distance of seven furlongs, has every chance of obliging again in this modest contest.

Hanagan, who was suspended under the 'totting-up' process after persistently breaking the minor rule of keeping straight from the stalls, teams up with his Malton boss Richard Fahey in the Bradford Handicap.

The duo will be represented by Kings College Boy, who, although still seeking his first win of the campaign, has been running creditably in defeat on his latest outings.

Over this sharp six furlongs, his winning turn could be about to dawn.

Sprint specialist Milton Bradley has booked Hanagan to ride Roxanne Mill in the Batley Claiming Stakes, and this speedy mare should take plenty of beating.

Unable to get competitive after a tardy start and meeting trouble in running in a toughish handicap at Nottingham last time, Roxanne Mill deserves another chance in this lesser contest.

The Willie Carson - Pinker's Pond Apprentice Handicap commemorates the former five-times champion jockey's achievement of riding his first-ever winner here and, fittingly, the race is confined to young riders without a single success, who are seeking to do the same.

Paul Benson could be the lucky young man tomorrow as he teams up with Sovereign State, a winner here two outings ago, and a creditable fourth at Warwick since.

Fairy Monarch, runner-up to Sovereign State on this course, is weighted to make an even closer match of it this time, but David Thompson's seven-year-old is napped to oblige again.

At Sandown's evening meeting, Coalition is taken to oblige for trainer Henry Candy in the Panmure Gordon Corporate Finance Handicap.

Candy, who had mixed luck yesterday, scoring with Airwave at Ayr but seeing the two-year-old Dry Ice run a miserable race at Beverley last night, produced Coalition to finish a neck second to Tudor Bell at Salisbury last time.

That was a decent effort, on only his second comeback outing after missing an entire year, from Coalition, who is entitled to improve further. Dane O'Neill has the mount.

Kieren Fallon, who racked up a couple of winners at Ayr yesterday, the Scottish Derby aboard Kalaman and a handicap on the Mick Easterby-trained Top Dirham, can also make his mark at Sandown.

The champion jockey appears to have good prospects on Granato (7-10), Secret Flame (8-15) and Turibius (8-45).
