FORMER British Lions star John Bentley will be hosting a Leeds Tykes summer rugby union camp in York next month.
Bentley, who is community marketing manager for the Zurich Premiership club, will be one of a host of qualified coaches running the three-day coaching course at Clifton Park from August 3-5.
The course is open to boys and girls of all abilities and is being run in conjunction with York RUFC. Youngsters, aged from Under-9s through to Under-12s, will develop their rugby skills and each will receive a free T-shirt, water bottle and season ticket for the Tykes' 2004-05 season.
The course will cost £55 per child and will run from 10am to 3pm each day.
Bentley, a former England international, said: "This is a great way for children to spend their summer holidays in a healthy, safe environment. We will be teaching skills from basics right through to playing small-sided games.
"At the end of the course the children will get to meet some of the Tykes players."
