YORK people will be hitting the streets in the name of York City this summer on the trail of hidden treasure.
York City Supporters' Trust have devised a prize treasure hunt around the city centre to raise money for the trust.
Entrants pick up a question paper and then follow the trail - which starts and finishes at Clifford's Tower - at their own pace, answering 50 questions based on things en route with no football knowledge necessary.
Donated prizes range from his and hers watches to cuddly toys, with a radio controlled Mercedes car and tickets to the Bootleg Beatles or York City available plus a host of sweet treats and goodie bags also up for grabs.
Question papers cost £2 in person or £2.50 if posted, and all must be returned by September 1 to be in with a chance of claiming one of the prizes.
Papers are on sale now from: York City FC, Monks Cross Asda on July 19, York Minstermen meeting on July 22, the York City open day on July 25, at any of City's pre-season friendlies, from Ian Tyssen at Nestl or by post to (Treasure Hunt), York City Supporters' Trust, Bootham Crescent, York, YO30 7AQ, enclosing a cheque for £2.50 payable to York City Supporters' Trust.
