THREE members of staff from a York laboratory have been to London to see the Queen.
The three Yorktest employees were invited to Buckingham Palace after the business won the Queen's Award for Innovation earlier this year.
Janice Culligan, managing director of Yorktest Veterinary Services Ltd, Isabelle Gantier, export manager, and Justine Savage, laboratory manager, were given specially-upgraded tickets by GNER on their journey to London to help make it a really special day.
Yorktest managing director John Graham said the three women, who spoke to the monarch during their visit, were chosen to go to the palace to represent the business after their names were drawn from a hat.
The lab, based at Osbaldwick with offices in Bishopthorpe, won the award for its development of innovative testing services for personal health, such as a food intolerance test conducted with just a pinprick sample of blood.
