Sun Inn came within a whisker of losing their York Unique-Phoenix Darts League division one unbeaten record.
With team game 180's from Tom Hair and Jack White, and then 19 and 21 darters from Pete Leake, Cygnet 'A' went 3-1 up at Sun.
Jon O'Mara showed nerves of steel to game in 20 and bull finish for 21 before Chris Thompson, with 16 and 21 darts, levelled to set up the decider.
Tony Cooper went a leg down to Kev O'Hara but bounced back to seal the win. Cygnet's Neil Caywood also hit a maximum, and Kev Walton gamed in 20 for Sun.
Shepherd's title hopes suffered a huge setback as they surrendered a 3-1 lead and lost to Cygnet 'B', whose match-winner was Noel Cooper. Paul Cooper closed in 20.
Arthur Conyers-Paul Armstrong took out a 22 dart 701 leg before 19 and a 120 finish for 18 from Tony Raymond inspired Ebor to a comfortable win against Hospital SC 'A', whose John Smith included a 104 finish for 21. Mark Hartley (Ebor) also included a 21 darter.
Acomb SC scored a clean sweep against Blacksmith's, with Andy Morton gaming in 18 and Mike Harris (180) adding a fine 17 darter.
Christine Robinson closed on 145 for Phoenix 'A' against Rose & Crown.
Mark Gale went out in 17 & 18 to inspire Acomb ARL to a whitewash against Phoenix 'B' and open up a 17 point lead at the top.
The battle for second spot between Flag and Clifton went to the latter. with Neil Hart gaming on 21 and 102 finish for 18 and John Holmes adding 21 darts. Steve Simpson was Flag's best with 20 and 21, and Lee Mason gamed in 21.
Nick Davis checked a 109 finish for Lord Nelson, who lost at home to Slipper, whose John Ward went out in 22.
Pete West was Holgate's match-winner against Alice Hawthorn. Ron Kitchen took Sun's only point at Hospital SC 'B'.
Ritchie win keeps Collingwood on top
Collingwood remain top of York White Rose Ladies Darts League, division one after a 4-3 win at Clarence.
Match-winner Jackie Ritchie (140) sealed the last game win, with big scores coming from Eileen Carter (101 and 121) and Yvonne Broadhead (120).
Janet Ellis and Rose Grimes inspired New York 'A' a narrow win against high flying Crescent, while a 21 darter from Maggie Adamson helped steer Coach (Tadcaster) to a 6-1 win at Tap.
The remaining division games, all went to the deciding legs, with wins for New York 'B', and Fulford Cons Club.
In division two, a brace of tons from Diane Sanderson pushed Acomb SC to a clean sweep against Bay Horse (Tadcaster), while Nelson 'B' recorded the same score against Bowling Club (Acomb) despite excellent scores from Joan Smith, Gill Holden and Audrey Rivora.
Six Bells and Alice Hawthorn both recorded 5-2 wins over Bay Horse (Murton) and Fox respectively, while Sue Smith was New Earswick's match winner against Nelson 'A'.
Sylvia Keenan (135, 133) for 22 inspired Jubilee, who dealt Clifton's York John Smith's Ladies League division two aspirations a blow, as Keenan then partnered Angie Lancaster to success in the decider.
Blacksmiths go top of the table, but they were taken close by Cygnet 'B', Jackie Keenaghan-Claire Ferguson sealing the wins for Blacksmiths.
Sun slipped in the table as they were overshadowed by Ship, Nicole Kirby partnering Kim Simpson to secure victory.
Shepherd 'A' team's last pairing Denise Fowler-Chris Peebles secured a 5-4 win at Severus. Tap overcame an understrength Tang Hall WMC. Alison Buckley, Janet McShane and Joan Harrison were double ton scorers as Britannia cruised to victory at Shepherd 'B'.
Division one leaders Cygnet 'C', whose Roz Kerr recorded 24 darts, were prevented from a full house by Leeman 'B' team's Rebecca Laverick.
Jayne Janes hit the tons as Cueball 'B' beat Independent 7-2.
Flag's last pair Jean West-Chris Hedley sealed victory at Slipper, whose Mavis Barker-Ann Parkyn had levelled. Beryl Thornham-Helen Lomas were match-winners for Slip at Holgate.
Shelly Moran, Sarah Bell were Dringhouses' only scorers as Clifton made home advantage count, as did Cygnet 'A', who saw off Phoenix 6-3.
Division three front-runners Woolpack had a fight on at Turf but secured victory through the Chris Patterson-Kath Powell pairing. Mandy Waddington-Maria Richardson got Leeman 'D' victory against Acomb.
Cueball 'A' recovered from 0-3 down to beat Burton WMC 6-3. Leeman 'C' shot into a 4-0 lead at Old Ebor and Mary Dodsworth partnering Margaret Haley secured the match.
Joan Knowles-Michelle Kelly won the decider for Volunteer 'B' against their 'A' team.
