Ryedale apprentice jockey Tom Eaves, who is going great guns this season, can further advertise his talents at Beverley tomorrow.
The 3lb claimer teams up with Clarinch Claymore in the 119th Year of the Watt Memorial Handicap and is fancied to steer the eight-year-old to victory.
Trained by Malcolm Jefferson, Clarinch Claymore won this two mile event last year and has every chance of achieving an encore.
Eaves, who is apprenticed to Jefferson's Norton neighbour Brian Ellison, has ridden 23 winners this season and is riding at the peak of his powers.
The featured £10,000 totejackpot Handicap over an extended seven furlongs looks a good opportunity for Burley Flame to return to the winning trail.
Trainer James Given has elected to run Burley Flame instead of stablemate Riley Boys and the hint should be taken. Furthermore, Micky Fenton's mount is a previous course and distance winner.
The 19 July is Medieval Night Apprentice Handicap is a moderate affair and Reversionary may be up to the task.
Mick Easterby's charge took plenty of hard driving to win a claimer at Carlisle last time. There was no great merit in that effort, but this is another weak contest which could come his way.
Paul Mulrennan, rider of Reversionary, can also score on Noel Wilson's Always Flying in the Dave Drew Is Our Plumber Claiming Stakes.
Previously trained by Mark Johnston, Always Flying has shown enough to suggest he can prove competitive in a race of this calibre.
Big Hassle, who has run two sound races in defeat, both at Carlisle, is napped to make it third time lucky in the Bamboo Bistro Maiden Stakes over five furlongs.
At Brighton, the Andrex Puppy Dash Maiden Stakes looks a good opportunity for Rowan Lodge to break his duck.
Trained by Mark Tompkins, Rowan Lodge has had just two outings to date and shaped well to finish third in the latest of them three weeks ago. Open to further improvement, the two-year-old is expected to have the edge over the widely exposed Campeon.
Glasson Lodge is deserving of a winning turn in the Rendevous Casino At The Marina Selling Stakes.
Although no great shakes, David Evans' youngster is tough and consistent, as her placed record proves. She is entitled to get her head in front this time.
Also worth noting at Brighton are the largely unexposed Elusive Dream (3.30) and the promising Kindness (4.30).
Gold Cup winner Papineau is in doubt for the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes at Ascot on Saturday week. The colt has suffered a bruised foot.
