DIVISION four leaders Selby totally overwhelmed a Sheriff Hutton Bridge side who fell to the day's lowest total of 47 as four of their first five batsmen fell for ducks.
Batting first, Selby slipped to 12-3 but then found middle order salvation as Kevin Lamb made 31, Mal Bowden 35, Peter Hoyle 44 and Carl Paterson 27.
Dave Houldridge bowled unchanged to take 6-77 but Selby were able to make 160 before being all out in the 45th over.
The home side's top order was then blown away in the blink of an eye as four batsmen failed to score as four wickets fell for just three runs. Richard Taylor then continued to scythe through the batting closing with 7-17 in 15 unplayable overs as Bridge collapsed to 47 all out, with 17 extras and only one batsman reaching double figures.
Easingwold skipper Alan Robinson netted 6-65 as his side kept up the pressure on the leaders with a five-wicket win over Sheriff Hutton. Craig Dodsworth made 27 and Ernest Taylor an unbeaten 45 but Robinson's efforts pegged the Castlemen to 133-6.
Simon Thornton hit back with 3-37 to cause some home team jitters before Richard Skilbeck with 46no and David Walker 26no steered Easingwold to victory.
A real thriller at Heslington saw the game between Civil Service and Hornsea end in a high-scoring tie.
Hornsea were able to post amore than useful first innings score of 221-5 when John Dawson (48), Jonathon Bickerdyke (31), Andrew Massey (46) and Peter Marson (27no) all made good runs. Service's bowling stalwart Mick Bradley suffered somewhat as he claimed 3-101 but then saw this two sons respond positively as Scott Bradley made 47 and Mark Bradley 35.
With Darren Hanley hitting 61 and Alistair Raper 20, Service were able to match their opponents at 221-6. Dan Wilson took 4-25 for Hornsea.
Londesbrough Park maintained their interest in the promotion race when they defeated Osbaldwick by five wickets. Andy Hall made an impressive 93 as Osbaldwick reached 174-7.
When Londesborough replied, Mark Tissiman hit 76, Simon Dodd 47 and Rob Wilkinson 28 to add to his 3-49. Neil Bellerby took 4-49 but could not prevent a home victory.
