AFTER reading the report in the Evening Press (Thursday, July 8), about John Batchelor's "so-called" cash offer, may I congratulate the board for turning it down.
Who does Mr Batchelor think he is with his statement "so they want the future of the club"?
Of course we want the future of the club, but we so very nearly lost that under John Batchelor's chairmanship.
Thank goodness the board deemed the conditions of this offer unacceptable.
Of course we want the money, which is rightfully ours, but if this is the sort of offer Mr Batchelor has to make, as far as I am concerned he can stick his £42,500.
