COUNCILLOR Ann Reid states that more drivers are using evening parking in York than previously and quotes a figure of 1,600 more users in May than in April (Letters, July 6).
Perhaps subsequent figures will not be so encouraging when the numerous groups who meet in the evenings have had time to relocate to village and church halls where they are made to feel welcome.
