A welcome Danish export, Dico contributed to stand-out track Home on Zero 7's long-awaited second album, When It Falls, earlier this year.
While Home sounded like a long-lost Joni Mitchell recording, Dico managed to play homage to the great Canadian chanteuse yet still leave her own mark.
Far is a mini-CD, with just six tracks, which reveals Dico's considerable talent as a songwriter and confirms her reputation as a gifted singer with a folksy edge with breakthrough potential.
There's nothing here as instantly bewitching as Home. Instead you are rewarded for effort because continuous play unleashes a powerful spell which at once seduces and leaves you eager for more. One to watch.
