FORMER York City midfielder Christian Fox will head a posse of trialists at North Yorkshire rivals Scarborough.
Fox, who was released by the Minstermen last season, is expected to open his bid for a future with Boro when the Seasiders report to the McCain Stadium for pre-season training tomorrow.
Ex-Boston and Grimsby full-back Ben Chapman and Swedish midfielder Victor Fallope.
Meanwhile, Boro skipper Scott Kerr has been rewarded with a new, improved contract.
Kerr, a transfer target for Grimsby Town, has agreed enhanced terms for the coming campaign when he will take over the captain's armband.
"It's something he deserves. He's an excellent player and just the right type," said chairman Malcolm Reynolds.
"He's delighted to be club captain and very much looking forward to getting started again."
The 22-year-old former Hull City and Bradford midfielder, who moved to the McCain Stadium in March 2003, was Boro's player-of-the-year last season and was capped at England non-league level.
Kerr was wanted by former Boro boss Russell Slade following his move to Grimsby but has pledged his future to the Seasiders by penning his new deal.
Boro have also been boosted by the news that they have been allocated a place in the LDV Vans Trophy alongside York City next season.
