Dawn Exton, with five ton-plus scores, and a winning pairs by Wendy Smith-Lynn Thompson saw Cygnet 'A' lower Flag by the merest margin.
Cygnet 'C' romped to a 7-2 score against a below strength Holgate.
Tracey Farmeary hit a maximum and Angie Hields hit the tons as Cueball 'B' won 6-3 against Clifton 'A'.
Sandra Bruce included a maximum for 24 and then partnered Karen Alton to secure the decider in 23 for Independent at Slip.
Sarah Bell-Chrissie Noble paired up to seal a 5-4 win for Dringhouses against Slipper.
Clifton have gone top in division two. Debbie Benson (134, 100) and Ship's Kim Simpson traded tons the former guiding Clifton to an unassailable 6-0 lead.
Joint second-placed Sun and Blacksmith's both won 5-4, Dorothy Barker-Sally Swales winning the decider for Sun after a 24 from Cygnet's Maureen Murray. Jackie Keenaghan-Karen Braithwaite saw Blacksmiths home against Shepherd 'B'.
Tang Hall WMC were too strong for Jubilee despite a 25 from Jeanette Whittaker.
Fran Holmes and partner Donna Rowan were Tap's match-winners at Shepherd 'A', as were Severus's Glynnis Simpson-Val Long at Britannia.
Division three leaders Woolpack, 0-3 behind, won the remaining games against visitors Volunteer 'B'.
Volunteer 'A' were 3-0 down against visitors Cueball 'A'. Amanda Bevan levelled before Cueball took the remaining legs.
Old Ebor (formerly Mount) leapt into second place with a fine win at Acomb. Shelagh Kenny-Colleen Cunniff won the decider as Leeman 'C' beat Reindeer.
Burton Club's match-winners were Jacqui Ridall-Julie Bruce after Kelly Lofthouse-Nikki Judson had levelled for Leeman 'D'.
In division 3, Mount are now playing at Old Ebor, Nunnery Lane.
