Frankie Dettori, enjoying a vintage season, can continue in familiar style by triumphing in the two main races on the second day of Newmarket's July meeting.
He rides Sulamani in the £100,000 Princess of Wales's Stakes, and also my Nap selection Council Member in the £70,000 TNT July Stakes.
The latter, who could well be on Godolphin's short-list for next month's Gimcrack Stakes at York, promises to take all the beating in tomorrow's Group 2 contest.
A winner at Newcastle on his debut, he followed that with a mighty effort at Royal Ascot which saw him fail by only half a length to hold off the strong-finishing Iceman in the Coventry Stakes.
Tony James, two places behind Council Member last time, has it all on to turn the tables. A bigger danger to Dettori's mount could be Mystical Land, runner-up to the unbeaten Blue Dakota at Royal Ascot, and Chateau Istana, a winner at the same meeting.
Sulamani faces seven rivals in his Group 2 showdown as he bids for his first success of the year.
A top-notch performer on the world stage, the five-year-old was not seen at his best at Royal Ascot on his reappearance. Racing on ground much faster than he prefers, and over a distance short of his best, he had to settle for fourth place behind Rakti in the Prince of Wales's Stakes.
Tomorrow's easier ground and extra two furlongs should bring Sulamani to the fore.
Motive, narrowly beaten at York last month after starting a well-backed favourite, is fancied to recover those losses in the £50,000 Joss Collins Heritage Handicap.
Sir Michael Stoute's charge went to the front two furlongs out on Knavesmire, but hung to his left and was caught in the dying strides by Etmaam.
It is likely that Kieren Fallon will delay his challenge a little longer tomorrow on Motive, a lightly-raced horse, who is still learning what racing is all about.
At Catterick, the garrison will be out in force for the track's annual Army Day. Reidies Choice appeals in the 5th Regiment Royal Artillery Handicap.
James Given's three-year-old has been running creditably in defeat this season and looks capable of winning this seven-furlong race in the hands of Micky Fenton.
Saint Alebe, winner of last year's Tote Ebor at York, is unlikely to race this season. The David Elsworth-trained five-year-old has not raced since coming from last to first to win the Ebor last August, has suffered a recurrence of an old problem.
