A CYCLIST needed hospital treatment after two bikes collided - then one hit the back of a van.

The three-way crash happened yesterday at Carr Lane, Acomb.

York Police said a cyclist was in collision with another cycle, which then went into the back of a stationary Ford Transit.

An ambulance service spokeswoman confirmed one cyclist was taken to hospital by paramedics for treatment to a dislocated shoulder.

The accident happened at 6.30pm.
