WHY is York's superb heritage plastered with custard yellow paint that offends the eyes? It has happened to cobbled streets such as College Street and Minster Yard next to St Williams College, both in a conservation area.
This is far from aesthetically pleasing in a beautiful area of a city with World Heritage Site pedigree.
