THE new politics of the Tories in offering "choice" in education and hospital care is outrageous.

They seem to be proposing a subsidy from the taxpayer to go to private schools and hospitals to allow them to offer a reduced rate to the affluent.

As a result "sink" schools and hospitals will be created as the middle class desert the state, and people who could never afford private will be paying for this to happen.

Tory foreign policy beggars belief. John Redwood has talked of further wars in "Arab countries" where Britain must support the US. Has he learned nothing from the blood that has flowed in Iraq?

Blair himself talks of Iraq as being the "start", so he has really learned nothing. He appears to be like a dictator who can brook no dissent.

I would go back to Labour again if Robin Cook were leader, at least he had the decency to resign over Iraq and is a model of clarity, not the vitriol of "good versus evil" spouted by Blair.
